At Blue Oak Veterinary Bodywork we exclusively perform complementary care such as veterinary chiropractic, acupuncture and massage therapy. Years of focus on these complementary treatment modalities has given us unparalleled expertise in these areas.
We pride ourselves on providing thorough, outstanding care. We take the time to thoroughly assess each horse, identify their unique problems and treat them accordingly.
Equestrian disciplines are uniquely challenging because so much is based on “feel”. We at Blue Oak Veterinary Bodywork actively ride and compete giving us unique insight in to the riding “feel” allowing us to understand the problem on a deeper level and get to the root of the issue.

Ashley grew up in the Cincinnati area riding In Pony Club but developed a love for dressage. She developed several horses on her own competing them through 4th level
In pursuit of her love for horses she moved to Lexington, Kentucky where she worked at Rood and Riddle Equine hospital as a technician for 12 years. There she saw the benefits that bodywork, laser therapy and acupuncture could provide to the clinically ill and to the top equine athletes. She became certified in Equine Sports Massage in 2019 through Equissage, the oldest equine massage school in the United States. In addition to her sports massage, Ashley uses acupressure and trigger point techniques along with stretching exercises ensuring to get the most benefits out of each session.
Ashley has had hands on experience with all equine athletes from the Yearling Thoroughbred sales at Keeneleand, Saddlebreds going on the prestigious green shavings at Louisville, to the Olympic Dressage and Eventing horses.
In her spare time Ashley competes in Dressage and Eventing with her Thoroughbred gelding “ET”.
